My mom, Elizabeth Lockwood Conklin Hoke, on her birthday in August 2004.

My mother's sister, Mary Posey Conklin Geer, passed away on October 12, 2005. A small funeral was held in Washington, DC at Rock Creek Cemetery on October 20. Family members present were Elizabeth, her husband Charles Hoke, her son Charles and his wife Ellen. I was there as was Mary's only son, Steven Geer.

This is mainly for family members who could not attend. I hope June, Nancy, Coursen, Tim, Dan, Matt, Harvey, Wendy, Katherine, Erin, Quinn, and Libby's 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren have a listen.

My mom's memories are important as she is the last surviving member of her family of six children. These were recorded on a Sony ICD-SK25 Digital Recorder. It was in my shirt pocket  while we traveled to the cemetery, during the service, and afterward. Unfortunately, I chose the VOR-on option, so some quiet parts got missed. Listen to some precious memories from a person who is dear to me.
