These are some of my favorite songs, mostly from the 60's and 70's. I encourage you to try them out on your ukulele or guitar. Click on the titles to see the chords and lyrics. To change the key, copy the text to your clipboard and use the transpose link. Have fun, and keep them alive for another 40 years. Like the velveteen rabbit, songs become real only when they are sung by people who love them. Some of the songs (What a Wonderful World, Lion Sleeps Tonight) feature my son, Jerry. He probably thinks every dad sings his kid to sleep with Goodnight. I recommend you try it, if you ever have the chance.

Recording is an important part of practicing. There's no better way to hear what works. The thought that someone might actually listen to them makes me try a little harder - like a recital. (Okay, so I try a little TOO hard on some of them!) This page is useful for practicing harmonies and other accompaniment. I am currently using a mixer called Audacity. The songs were sampled at 16 bits at 44.1 kHz and post-processed with Normalization, Compressor. Some have a little reverb.
